Walls steeped in history surrounded by vines:
The Paterhof apartment,
an extensive retreat with a detailed atmosphere

The Paterhof apartment in Kaltern/Caldaro, in the Oberplanitzing district, is a historic building and the former southernmost base of the Tegernsee monastery (Bavaria). Located on the first floor, the apartment still contains architectural features such as the baroque coffered ceiling with the patron saint of Tegernsee Lake, St Quirinus. Old wooden doors, creaking floors and stucco work on the walls provide historical flair, while the new bathroom and furnishings ensure comfort.

The atmosphere in the flat is a successful combination of history, Mediterranean flair and tasteful ambience. It is embedded in a courtyard-like complex, surrounded by historic dry stone walls, palm trees in the garden and vines. The impressive Mendel/Mendola massif rises up in the background, while the play of colours of the Latemar mountain range (UNESCO World Heritage Site) enchants onlookers to the east.

"Wide and ponderous, the gateway under the residential building led us through to the inner courtyard. The old masonry is bathed in warm midday sunshine; even the shade under the canopies, balconies and arches is saturated with warmth."
